With the revival of the PRT, I figured it was time to visit with a couple of the boys from that story. First up? The always hot Jaxson Espisito.
Jax is the new kid at school, the loner, the one who rides a motorcycle. When creating his character, I knew he had dark hair that kind of flopped over his amber-brown eyes (Some people call eyes like that hazel, I don’t. Deal with it), he’s muscular, but not body-builder muscular, and he needed to be tall(ish).
I had one person in mind, but I didn’t know if he was exactly right. A friend tossed me another idea. Torn between the two, I figured I’d ask my niece who provided the model for one of the girls. She, of course, scoffed at both my suggestions. She wanted Taylor Lautner. To be fair, I agree that Taylor is a hottie (I’m old enough to be his mom, but I can still appreciate his looks). But, he was too…sweet looking to be Jaxson.
In the end, I went with my first thought. Granted, Jaxson is younger than the actor in these pictures, but since I’m not actually trying to cast a film, it doesn’t matter, the basic model is still there.
Like I said, Milo Ventimiglia isn’t exactly how I picture Jax, but he’s damn close.
